A Tibetan shaman was talking with a mother, a virgin and a witch, and he asked to the mother, Tell me why woman are so powerful?
The mother smiled and said:"For thousands of years, man has been repressing woman, and repression is the manifestation of fear. We cage the tiger, because we are afraid of its power. "We are connected with the universe, for our monthly ovulation follows the cycles of the moon. Our bodies are the secret temple where life grows In the miracle of existence, we are the earth, the tree, the roots and the fruits. If the consequences of sexual union, are so transcendental for us that we become mothers, justice in nature requires that our pleasures should be more plentiful and powerful.'
The mother paused for a while and then continued: 'Women are emotionally and sexually stronger than men. Women, to survive and protect their children, have used their minds and the power of love.'
The virgin asked the Tibetan shaman, 'What is love?' 'Love is a song of freedom. If you tied two birds together flying to the Paradise of Love, they would have four wings but would never get there. The opposite of love is not hate but boredom.'
The Tibetan shaman asked the witch 'What is magic?' The witch, hiding a smile, replied, Magic is power like a knife that you can use to cut bread and share it or mis it by hurting others.
Magic is a power of the mind. Everybody has it, just as everybody has memory. In all languages there is a word for the evil eye. With the power of your mind you can harm others, but you can also benefit them. The Indonesians have a secret wisdom of high magic, and that is how to use the power of the mind to transmit instant knowledge. We wiches are not always bad. A tree with branches rising up to heaven must have roots reaching down to hell.
