Sample Music

A Taoist master was walking in forest outside Peking. Suddenly, near a lake, he saw how a white crane attacked a poisonous black snake. The snake, rolling in the mud, used a static, hypnotic power with tense, lightning-fast movements of attack and retreat. The crane was peacefully flying in the air waiting for the right moment to strike.
The Taoist master, by observing the fighting strategies of both animals, conceived the initial movements of the martial arts.
A female student who was watching the fight said ‘The snake is dirty and scares me. Is it the evil one?’
The master replied,‘The snake is not evil; it is the animal of wisdom. It uses only defensive aggression. Its poison is used to cure. Facing the snake is healing; it is power. Disease comes from the fear of not confronting the unknown.’
The snake loves to hide in dark holes inside the earth. The crane loves the purity of the sky. ‘You have to know both ends of the scale if you want to approach the point of balance between the extremes’.
The girl shrugged her shoulders and said, I don’t understand.
The master answered, How can you enjoy being clean, if you have never been dirty?
